Between 1984 and 1987 Ron Upton worked as a designer/illustrator for Rice Advertising in Okc., OK where he produced package designs for the grocery giant, Fleming Companies, Inc.

He took those valuable years of packaging experience with him to start his first graphic design business venture, Upton Design Studio and continued working on the Fleming account.

Two and a half years later, Ron relocated to work for Simon Advertising in Topeka, KS to assist the agency in fulfilling a new packaging contract with Fleming due to Ron's extensive packaging experience and relationship with Fleming Companies, Inc.
